The vast majority of today's cheaply produced modern microphones use inferior internal components and inexpensive capsules that sound harsh, peaky and sibilant. Using a camera lens analogy - with a high definition lens, you capture an incredible image. With a cheap lens, your voice is left underexposed, distorted and lacking detail. The best microphones create a three dimensional sound with a full rich tone.

Our CMM V12 offers the legendary warmth and smooth top end of the classic 1960s era AKG C12 at a fraction of the cost. We find that vocals instantly sit well in the mix with little or no post production processing. This mic features a hand selected 6072A tube alongside premium internal components, a custom wound transformer and a premium capsule. Includes power supply, professional shock mount and hard case.

Made for the true mic aficionado, our CMM V251 is an ultra premium microphone inspired by the legendary Telefunken ELA M 251 which is widely regarded as one of the greatest microphones of all time. I find it to be incredible on female vocals and equally amazing for male voices in the mid and higher registers. Compared to the V12, this mic offers more harmonic color for a more "vintage" sound. The V251 is full bodied with beautiful tube coloration, ultra rich harmonic content and an airy top end. This mic is meticulously crafted to perfection utilizing an ultra premium handmade brass capsule, a custom wound transformer, a hand selected NOS 6072 tube and all premium internal components. Includes power supply, professional shock mount and hard case.

Drawing inspiration from a vintage Schoeps style transformerless design and featuring Wima capacitors alongside a premium Telefunken capsule, our FET-51 microphone offers a highly transparent and focused sound. I love this mic for layering background vocals and gang vocals but it is equally as great on acoustic instruments and as a lead vocal mic when an uncolored sound is desired. To add in transformer coloration, simply pair this mic with a 1073, UA 610 or your favorite vintage style preamp. Includes a professional shock mount and hard case.
